Professional Advocacy

Advocacy normally relates to the promotion of a particular sector of the economy. In the Institute when we speak of advocacy we do not mean it in terms of financial wealth. The IHRI believes in the statement that "health is wealth", you are not wealthy without your health. Government policies revolve around this principle, every government wishes for its people to be healthy and thus provides quality health services to the general population. Healthcare professionals are here to assist the public in staying healthy and as such we believe there must be advocacy in society for these professionals.

Our advocacy comes in the following forms;

  • Management of campaigns to promote the use of services provided by health professionals, within the general population
  • Open/public meetings on various topics for the transparent advancement of the health sector
  • Publicity of new nationally and internationally operated medical services through the use of the Institutes Journal
