We provide a wide range of services to the healthcare sector. These services can be categorised into three categories; Education, R&D and Professional Advocacy. Healthcare professionalism starts at university education level. Students learn the basic skill-sets, which will be required during their professional career. Extra-mural courses can help healthcare students to develop important inter-professional working methods, which will allow them after graduation, ensure the highest level of patient recovery at all times.
In order to provide a quality service to their patients, healthcare professionals should continue their training during their working life by the use of Continued Professional Development Programmes (CPD). CPD allows professionals to keep up to date with new developments in recommended procedures. Advanced Research and development is crucial in the sourcing of potential cures for medical problems such as Cancer and AIDS. New medical problems are discovered on an annual basis and we must ensure that R&D continues to stay ahead of these potentially fatal illnesses. R&D is also heavily involved in the delivery methods of medication into the biological system. Providing facilities to R&D groups around the world helps to advance not just our knowledge of how our bodies operate but also facilitates us in discovering better methods for controlling drug release. Professional Advocacy involves promoting the various healthcare services to the general public. By providing the public with general information about the professions and also the services which are available to them, the IHRI can give patients a greater understanding of how the sector operates and works for the best interests of the community.
