The Institute is managed under the direction of a board of directors but there are several levels of leadership within the organisation to assist in its day to day running.  All levels are listed below.

Board of Directors
Directors have the legal responsibility to ensure that the organisation operates within the framework provided for by law.  Roles of the board include but are not limited to; producing an annual financial report, the holding of executive meetings to vote on major decisions and to provide oversight to the organisation as a whole.

Advisory Directors

Advisory Directors are not executive members of the Board but provide various support functions to the Executive Directors.  These non-executive directors are experts in fields of organisational management such as Finance or legal studies.

Principal Officers

The by-laws state that there can only be three principle officers allowed to exist in the Institute at any one time.  These are the President, Secretary and Treasurer.  The principle officers manage the Institute on a day to day basis.

Senior Officers

These include officers such as the vice-president, Chief Technology Officer and Chief Marketing Officer.

Junior Officers

Junior Officers are all officers who work directly below the Senior officers. An example of a junior officer would be an assistant technology officer.
